Sunday Mornings and House Churches

A Dual Expression of Church

At DCF we believe that church is bigger than what we know. We believe that church should be personal and intimate, that it should be communal and organic. We do not view the church as nirvana, where perfection rules. Rather, it is a community where we all admit our brokenness and our desperate need. There are many ways to experience and participate in church.

Our main avenues of connection come through our Sunday morning gatherings and our House Churches. Sunday morning gatherings focus on the power coming together for communal acts of worship. Our House Churches gather throughout the week at various locations to participate in the more relational, intimate acts of worship. We strongly believe both types of gatherings to be visible experssions of the Body of Christ on earth.

Sunday Mornings

Sunday morning gatherings at DCF may take on different looks from week to week, but the heart and the essential elements of the service are consistent. Each service contains the following elements: reading the gospel, passing the peace of Christ, prayer, teaching, music, giving, and communion. You can read more about each element here.

House Churches

House Churches gather weekly in people's homes with the hope of living out true Christian community. We share stories, meals, and the gospel with each other. Each House Church has its own identity and personality, but all strive to represent christ. Its sometimes intense and often messy, but its worth it. You can read more about house churches here.
